My name is Jennifer Arnett. Among many roles, I am a child of God, a wife, a mother, a professional photographer. This blog is mostly about my health and fitness journey. It’s about having grit and taking action to become the best version of me that I can be.
Grit is defined as firmness of mind or spirit; unyielding courage in the face of hardship or danger. I am daring and a builder of fortitude. I have guts and moxie. I wave the flag of perseverance and spunk in the face of times that suck. I am tenacious and tough. I seek results and am a goal achiever. I have GRIT! Let’s GO!
In September 2016, I weighed 198 pounds and was 43% body fat at the time after having 2 babies. My children were then 4 and 6 years old. They were no longer babies. The excuse that I had just had babies was getting old. I was busy caring for others and not taking care of myself. And in a way not living a healthy lifestyle was preventing me from giving the best care I could to my family. I had begun to think that I would never be in good shape again.
